'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know A new home.. wow. Kara was definitely not expecting a place like this. It was different, but a lot nicer then her home. She had always felt like her mother was against her and this place. Well she was in a place filled with twisted people like her. So what more could she ask for? Well whatever, she was a tolerant girl. Any crazy person that wanted to get in her way when it came to finding what she was still looking for would just have to deal with the consequences.
She was new though, so she did get quiet a few stares. The girl didn't look crazy but that was the beauty of it wasn't it? It was why the person she killed that got her in this place died. Though they did have her on some medication that made her slightly agitated. It distracted her from the voices for a bit, but made her extra snappy to others. She posed a challenge for ones who wished to argue with her and a threat to ones who wouldn't like being pushed to the side.
The paranoia of the wolf being around her stayed though. Getting fresh air would be nice, but as she stepped out. Even the howling of the small breeze made her feel like the wolf was right behind her. Shuddering, she pulled her sweatshirt sleeves down over her knuckles. '' Leave me alone '' She whispered sharply under her breath as she crossed her arms across her chest. Making her way to one of the cement walls, the girl sat down against it. Pulling her bare legs to her, she was definitely a bit cold. Wearing jean shorts wasn't a smart idea.
The growl of the wolf soon filled her ears, causing her eyes to go wide. " Im right here Kara... come and get me" The wolf prodded in her mind. Flinching , she shook her head and ran her hands over her face. This place was just screwing her up even more.

As far as he was concerned, first were always the worst. First day of Elementary school you cry and throw temper tantrums, expecting your mother to come and pick you up all the while apologizing for making you go into a room with twenty strangers. First girl you like thinks you’re not her type and throws things at you during recess. First report card when you realize you aren’t doing as well as you should be and your parents give you their disapproving shenanigans. The first date you go on and you spend all day worrying only to have your nerves leave you with an irritable bowl during the occasion. First time your parents tell you that you wont be an only child anymore and you worry if they still love you. The list went on and on, thousands of things occurring at first try, causing you to speculate if you ever want to attempt anything new ever again. Alec was one of the few who knew you really didn't have a choice.
First day at Lucid Manor had been no different. He’d been labeled High Profile before he’d even stepped foot in the place and from the moment that he’d entered the building security started watching him like a hawk. The way they moved around him reminded him of a lioness stalking its prey. Watching and waiting until the most opportune moment to strike. Let them try had been his only thought, body brimming with hatred for anything that moved. He remembered clenching his fist so tightly that his nails dug into his flesh, producing crimson blood from lightly tanned skin. They’d clipped his nails afterwards to prevent the self-infliction from reoccurring. Whatever nurse they’d gotten to do it hadn’t been gentle. Now nails were trimmed too shortly and there was a constant throbbing at each tip, reminding him of his place in this hell. They’d had to sedate him to keep him from harming the nurse.
Today was his second day in these walls of insanity. Some doctor figured a trip to the yard might help him adjust to his new life. Guard shoved him roughly into the yard, a sedative shot clenched tightly in his hand. He muttered something about Alec not forcing him to use it before he took a careful stance beside the door. Dark eyes never straying from Alec’s body and once more he felt like he was being stalked. But unlike the day before, his anger had simmered into a void, his mind wrapped around the memories of his past.
"Leave me alone."
Leave me alone…Caroline had said that. No… she’d screamed it at the top of her lungs over and over again as those monsters violated her body, mutilating her soul. Hazel eyes glanced around, realizing the words had streamed from a small blonde who was now moving to sit next to the cement wall. There was something in her appearance that reminded him of his now thirteen-year-old sister. The resemblance had been so stunning; it’d nearly knocked him on his feet. But then the words slammed into his chest again. Leave me alone.
Was someone harming the girl? Anger flashed across his face, just quickly enough that the guard hadn’t seen it. Muscular strides carried him towards her, closing the gap in a rush. In mere seconds he was kneeling beside her, a mixture of intensive anger and worry tousled in his features. Words spit out like grit and sandpaper, obvious masculine tone resonating around them as he somehow managed to withhold a growl. Not to be mistaken though. There was no savior near her, only a jaded avenger.
“Did someone harm you?”

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know The last thing the girl needed was someone feeling sorry for her. Though the anger in the strangers voice made her confused. Pulling her eyebrows together, the voices subsided for a moment. Picking up her head, she took a shaking breath, staring up at the stranger. Her blue eyes looked right into him, freezing. Already, she was confused. The question would normally sound like someone wanted to help her….but this man.. he seemed angry. Did she bump into him or something when she was walking out? Had she took his spot in the yard? " Why do you care?" She snapped back, her words just as harsh.
Clenching her teeth, she didn't like anyone getting close. It was even scarier that this was her first day here.. and someone was already confusing the fuck out of her. She didn't want to be taken care of, she didn't want someone watching out for her. The only one she could trust was herself and even then, her mind was constantly playing tricks on her. With her hands dropping to her sides, her sky blue eyes stayed locked on the stranger.
What if he was the wolf? What if he was going to kill her? With her paranoia quickly setting in, she pulled the hood of her red hood over her neck a bit and took a few hesitant steps away. It was just the fact that he was a muscular man that made her get up. If he had given her a reason after this to be afraid, then either she was going to attack or run. In this moment though, she was so frightened she couldn't even understand what she might do. " In daytime the werewolf returns to its human form. The wolf is someone in this village" The voice hissed in her mind.
Shaking her head, her blue eyes went wide. " In daytime the werewolf returns to its human form. the wolf is someone in this village" She repeated in a whisper. Obviously frightened by whatever was going on in her head. Trembling , her gaze shot around. The man suddenly didn't matter. It was the thought that there might be someone in the yard that was the wolf.
" T..the wolf. " She whispered sharply, her jaw clenching once again. Slowly looking from the pavement to the stranger once again, she stared right into his eyes with an unsure expression. Was she supposed to be scared? or was she supposed to be feeling anger? This guy was so hard to read.

“Why do you care?”
Alec didn’t answer her immediately. Instead he just watched her, watched where her eyes strayed and how her body reacted to the confrontation. He was growing annoyed with her now. Who did she think she was? He’d only been trying to help her. Features contorted into something that resembled frustrated aggression.
Once more though, they softened as he looked into her eyes. The blue pools reflected the fear he’d seen in Caroline’s. Leave me alone. No. Someone had harmed this girl and they needed to pay for it dearly. He would make sure they paid for it. He watched as she stepped away, no emotion being revealed in his powerfully set jaw.
“In the daytime the werewolf returns to its human form. The world is someone in this village.”
Confusion flickered across his gaze as he watched the girl gaze shoot around them. “The wolf.” Alec turned to look around them, not actually expecting to see a wolf. When there wasn’t one, he returned his gaze towards her, obviously frustrated with her lack of cooperation.
“Dammit, I asked you a question. Who harmed you?”
It was then he saw it. Coincidence or not, he noticed the boy in the corner wearing a t-shirt with a wolf plastered on it. The Wolf. He was rocking back and forth, head lightly tapping against the concrete wall. Alec glanced at the blonde who was still staring at him with a frightened expression. That’s it; he’d end this now. Jaw clenched aggressively as he watched the boy. Alec would kill him.
“Don’t worry, I’ll handle this.”
Alec turned and started walking towards the boy, body moving with furious determination. Fist clenched tightly at his sides. In his face held the obvious intent to cause massive physical harm to the next thing he touched, and his eyes were narrowed in on the boy.

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know Every breath she let out, was shaky and uncontrolled. She was frightened , she was scared, she didn't want to be talked to. Dammit, I asked you a question. Who harmed you?" The girl furrowed her eyebrows, rather frustrated all of a sudden with the stranger. Why did he give a fuck about her and her issues? Why did he care she was frightened? He obviously wasn't a security guard. Though as soon as she was about to say something, she watched his eyes fall to an innocent patient leaning up against the wall with a wolf on his T-shirt. Kara might have been crazy, but she wasn't going to let some guy pay for what's in her head.
As soon as he spoke he would handle it, her heart raced, anger washing over her. This wasn't acceptable. Kara may have killed someone, but she knew for a fact that that patient with the wolf on his T-shirt wasn't the one she wanted to kill. Darting after the stranger, she frowned, hearing a growl in her mind. This was the other way she looked at the wolf. Anger, revenge hungry. She wanted to kill the motherfucker, but right now, she was just frustrated with it. It was going to ruin someone elses life and she didn't want them to pay for it. Plus whoever this guy was that was going to 'help' her was pissing her off.
Taking a deep breath, she lept onto the mans back, her arms wrapping tightly around his neck. She may have been small, but if she could have killed a man, there was a lot people underestimated her for. " Don't fucking touch that kid. He isn't the wolf" She whispered sharply into his ear, hoping he would listen.
Kara would have stayed on but as soon as she had darted towards the guy, a guard was already after her. Feeling hands wrap around her waist, the guard pulled her off and pushed her to the ground. A flinch crossed her face, landing on her back. "No touching other patients!" The man hissed at her before walking away. Kara sighed and ran her hands through her hair, slowly pulling herself up. She just didn't want anyone to pay for what her mind made her believe. The anger came fast and left fast. Now she was just annoyed with this entire situation.

Alec watched as the girl pulled herself back up, anger simmering throughout his body. It had taken every last restraint he’d possessed not to physically attack the guard for pushing the girl to the ground. He couldn’t really explain this newfound feeling of protectiveness, other then the girl looked remarkably like his younger sister- just a little older. Or how he imagined Jenny would look if she were older. Jenny…He missed his little sister a lot. She’d tried to visit a few times but he’d refused to see her. Alec didn’t want Jenny to see the monster he’d become, he wanted her to remember how he used to be, before Caroline’s rape and suicide. Features relaxed as anger almost completely diminished. Face contorted into more of a catatonic daze, then someone who’d been on the verge of committing murder.
“I…apologize.”
Unlike before when his voice had been taut and angry, now lyrics sounded almost completely void of emotion as he looked at her. There was confusion in his eyes, but it was mixed with sincerity. Alec wished the scrubs they made them wear had pockets, because he had the itch to shove his hands into them. He shifted his gaze down to look at the ground between them, mind reeling with the scenario that had almost taken place. While he new he needed to calm down, it was like once the anger took over he couldn’t think straight. It changed him.
“I’m Alec…”
Words were short, but his tone retained the same calmness it had before. He felt a small annoyance, but it was mostly with himself for being to close to harming someone innocent, or apparently innocent. Once more, his glance rose to look at her again. If she asked him to leave her alone this time, he would do it. Alec might be sentences to an insane asylum, but he was smart enough to know when his presence made someone uneasy.
