Sitting on a couch in the rec room, Jayde read the letter she had recently received from her mother. She was trying to be a mom again-- asking how Jayde was feeling, what was she doing, did she feel any better? How was her medication? Jayde knew she didn't mean a word of it. She had her family, Jayde was just an extra. She was pregnant, again. Another child to raise correctly to make up for the immense fuck ups she'd made with Jayde. No more smoking, no more drinking. Jayde's siblings weren't woken up at all hours of the night by loud music and dancing people. They didn't wake up in the morning to find her house filled with strange people, strange objects, and strange smells. That was probably part of the reason she resented them so much. Why did her mom love them enough to grow up and be a mom? Why did they get a mother's love, a father's love, a clean house and clean clothes?
She switched positions on the couch. Everything was uncomfortable to her. After being numbed with painkillers for so long, being sober for such a long time was a shock. At least her withdrawals were over. The headaches, the body aches, the itching, the shaking. That's what made her think she might have had an addiction. Not a bad one. Not like her dad. She just liked to get high a little too much. Nothing wrong with that. She still held onto the thought that she was okay, she wasn't shooting anything up, she wasn't smoking crack. She wasn't like her dad, no matter what anyone told her.
The thing she missed the most about home was being free. She hadn't had rules since she was thirteen years old, she was used to leaving when she wanted, coming home when she wanted, doing whatever she wanted. She was aching for another tattoo. She had started her other sleeve right before she left, and all she did all day was plan out what she was going to get. She had sketches upon sketches of everything from ships to koi fish to Carebears.
She dug around in her purse for a moment before locating her notebook and pencil. She leaned against the arm of the couch and bit down on the already chewed eraser. She drew a few random lines, but soon erased them. She made many attempts, starting and stopping then starting over. She was running out of ideas. She had no inspiration, being shut up in here all the time.

"Get away! Get Away! Get away!" Willow yelled, as she burst into the room, pressing herself to the wall. Tears were streaming down her face, as the young woman pressed herself to the wall. That nurse was still after her. The nurse was still there! She was always there! Watching, looming, threatening, giving the hatefull pills! She hated that. Willow dispised that. She wanted to get away! Willow always wanted to get away. Not nessesarely this place, mostly that noisy nurse.
Silence. She lost her? Willow lost that damned woman! Now the question came, of where she was. In her marathon run thorugh the halls of the Manor, she hardly payed attention to where she was going. Her counting was off, and she had no clue where she was. That was not good. Last time she ended up doing this, she ended up who only knows where.. but she got yelled at.
Slowly, she began to move along the wall. Step by step, touch by touch. Smooth walls. Couple of rough spots.... hardly descriptive. Where was she? She heard a murmor, then destinctive voices... why didn't she hear them beffore? Perhaps not paying attention?
"Lily? Where are we? Can you tell? I'm lost... I don't know where we are..... It's a room... what room? What room, Lily?" With a small yelp, the woman tripped, stumbling, and collapsing down to the floor. Her hair clip slipping from her hair. Damn it! Damn it! Where is it? Where did it go? Lily can you see it? The woman began moving around the floor, feeling around herself upon teh floor, trying to figure out where it whent. It was a nice clip. She liked that clip. Amy gave it to her. Amy.... Any was nice.... Where did she go?
"Help? Can... someone help me? I...can't find my clip... and Lily.. she doesn't see it either... Can somebody help me?" Willow was near tears now, today was wrong. Everything was going wrong. From the morning till now. She woke up, and her walking stick seemed to have been confiscated after last week's events. They were not even bad! At breakfast... she was late to it, and it was cold. Cold is not nice. Lily... Lily didn't show up till later. ANd then the Nurse. THE nurse. She hated that woman. And that woman tried to chaise her down and make her drink those damn pills! Those pills were like poison! Did they not understand?! Nothing was right today. Lily, why can't today just end?

Jayde quickly sketched out a treasure chest and held it against her wrist. Perfect. She began to draw a sunken ship to go above it, on her forearm. She was in the middle of drawing the broken mast with the ripped sail whenever a girl ran into the room and leaned against the wall. Jayde looked up, then went back to her drawing. She didn't usually get involved in other people's issues, especially in this place with all these crazy people, murderers and what not. How did she know this girl wasn't one of the real crazy ones? The girl looked obviously upset though, and Jayde did have a soft spot. She shoved her notebook and pencil back into her purse and stood up halfway, not sure what was going on. The girl was holding onto the wall, slowly making her way farther into the room.
Suddenly the girl tripped and fell. "Oh shit," Jayde exclaimed, and hurried towards the girl. A clip skittered across the floor. Jayde picked it up and walked a bit closer to the girl. She was yelling about her clip and someone named Lily... Jayde walked closer, slowly, and kneeled nearby her. "Hey," she said softly. "What's wrong? I got your clip..." Jayde scooted a bit farther away. "What's up? Just sit up. You're in the rec room."
Jayde was exhausted, tired of being surrounded by people she didn’t know or care about. She needed to get high, she needed a cigarette, she needed something to distract her from this.

Willow was about to cry, when some voice, more distinct then other's appeared next to her with in the darkness. Everything was within darkness. She found it hard. Even now, after two years, she still found it hard to live in compleate darkness. Hard to explain to another being... once, you had a life, it was normal... you could live it...and then, all of it was taken away. She still remembered the colors, the shapes... everything, she could rmember seeing.... but now could not. It was ripped away. Viciously ripped away.
The woman sat up, fallowing the diraction given. Perhaps it was a request? It was softer then the Nurces, they were usually far too rough. She reached out, slowly, cautiously, her eyebrows drawing together, as she reached toward the voice, her fingers, closing about her clip, as she took it in both hands, holding it for a moment, as a smile formed upon her lips, her form relaxing.
"The rec room? Oh, thank you! Thank you!" Willow smiled, as she nodded toward the woman. She seemed nice....but didn't they all at first? Nice and smiling, and then.. then they all churned out so wrong! Oh, so wrong! ANd oh, so sad....
"I am Willow, and that's Lily..." Willow waved in the diraction next to her. She was almost more relaxed, especially now that she knew where she was, and could almost picture her location, which she found rather comforting. The knowlege of where one is, where everything is, no surprises. Especially to someone who could not see knowlege is security.
"I'm sorry, I don't usually freak out like this...but... I just couldn't tell where I was. That nurse made me mess up my counting, and then my clip vanished, my sister gave it to me... What's your name? Willow asked, remembering her manners. Politeness never hurt. THough caution always had to be. After all, they all were bitches. Not many people here were...any good. Some would way too gladly stab you in teh back, should they be given an oprotunity. Faar too gladly.

"No problem..." Jayde replied, sitting back on her heels as she studied the girl. There was obviously something wrong; she had to be blind or something, since she couldn't even tell where she was. Unless she was just crazy as the fuck, Jayde reminded herself. She had to keep remembering that she was in a house full of nuts. "Why couldn't you see?" Jayde asked.
Jayde's suspicions were confirmed when the girl gestured to the side of her, introducing someone named Lily. Jayde often wondered what it was like to be crazy. The doctors said she was bipolar, and she figured that counted as kind of crazy, but she didn't see anything or hear voices in her head or kill anyone. Was this girl a murderer? Jayde shook her head, trying to force away the paranoia that everyone here as trying to kill her. She was sure that some people probably thought of her what she thought of all these people' to some, crazy was crazy no matter if they had hallucinations or murdered someone.
"It's all good," she replied, adding, "It's a pretty clip. Is your sister here or...?" Jayde was afraid of perhaps reminding her of a sister that was dead, or something, and so let her sentence trail off. "I'm Jayde," she added. "Why are you in here?" Perhaps knowing the reason would make Jayde feel better, maybe the girl was just depressed, or was so say addicted to something, like everyone told her she was. That would be amazing, in Jayde's opinion-- then maybe she would have some hookups, some way to get drugs in here that Jayde hadn't noticed. "How long have you been here?" she asked, waiting with impatient enthusiasm, hoping more than anything that this girl could find her some domes.

At the other woman's mention of sight, Willow's face fell. Her face became rather, depressed, as she hated talking about her loss of sight. Hell, she had a hard time remembering that day. Truth be told, she could not remember majority of the day. Doctors said Amnesia, due to some trauma. They called it PTSD. She never understood that. She knew what the thing was, but... how... that trauma. She hated that. She despiced that. Yet, worse was that people said that she'll get over it. That she'll get better. That time will heal all wounds. How wrong they were. How wrong... but they didn't know that... they did not know that at all.
"I... I lost it... a couple of years ago. There... was a car accident... and the shrepnell burned my eyes. Willow answered shakely, as she closed her eyes shaking her head a bit, before her eyes opened again, and she looked at Jayde with unseeing eyes.
Willow's fingers rose to her clip, running over the bumpy surface. Yes... Lily... she's my twin. The clip...was my other sister's... she.... she died... Along with my brother.... Willow sighed shaking her head, as she churned it to the side, to where she pointed Lily was at, nodding at thin air. Alright, I'll be here. Dont' take too long, Ok? She smiled back at Jayde.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. She paused, her eyebrows drawing together as she tried to figure out the answers to the other woman's questions. It were good questions, but how was she to answer them? "I"m here about three months... they say I'm here for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I don't think they tell me everything thought. I can feel it. Why are you here? I don't belive I've noticed you before. Are you new?
