I Don't Know If I'm Getting Better
Or Just Used To The Pain. Arianna stared at her security guard, her brown eyes staring intently with hatred. He didn’t even seem to recognise the fact she was, he just continued walking, gripping her shoulder tightly to make sure she wouldn’t make a run for it. Not that she would get far, they had put a straight jacket on her just for the walk, and he had promised it would be removed when they arrived. The walk from her room to the padded cells weren’t that long; they were kept somewhat near the high profile patients rooms. Many of the staff felt it wise that they were nearer to them than any of the others, placed where they would be more useful.
Since her arrival to the asylum she had done so well. She hadn’t got into any trouble, hadn’t started arguments. If anything she had kept to herself the whole time. It was probably due to the fact that she had stayed in her room for the few days that she had been here. Whilst in her room one of the other patients came in, possibly by accident not that she cared, and believed that it was their room and not hers. She ignored the patient at first and continued reading her book. Arianna loved to read; luckily the staff had allowed her that activity. The patient however continued to argue. Bad mistake. It hadn’t taken long for Arianna’s anger to grow into rage, and for her to start throwing fists and objects around. The security guard who was currently escorting here even suffered a punch to the jaw; she could see the purple bruise starting to form.
As she rounded the corner she noticed the large white door with a small glass window at the top. The staff were able to look through the window just to keep an eye on the patients in side. Some had their straight jackets removed so they had to be extra carefully watched. And of course the high profile patients needed constant watch from the security. Sighing she looked down and tried to suppress her anger as the door was opened and she was given a light push. She over exaggerated a little by losing her footing and falling straight onto the white padded floor.
It had to be said the floor was very comfortable; she just hated the amount of white that filled the room. It was far too bright and something her eyesight certainly wasn’t use to. She gave the guard a look of disgust as she sat herself back up, with a lot of effort it should be noticed. “Gonna take this bloody jacket of me then or you just going to be another liar like the rest of ‘em?” she shouted. Her throat was hoarse from all the screaming during her incident. It was quite obvious that Arianna needed this calming down. She wasn’t exactly in the best of moods at that point in time. It took the security guard a few seconds before he removed the straight jacket, taking it with him as he left and quickly shut and bolted the door shut.
Arianna screamed as loud as she could and punched the padded wall. It was soft at the touch and did no harm to her. Sighing she laid down on the floor. It felt so comfortable, much better than the mattresses they had been supplied in their bedrooms. She found it near enough impossible to get comfortable whilst laying, or even sitting on those. Enjoying the new sensation she placed her hands behind her head and look at the bright luminous lights that were placed in the ceiling. Feeling the burning sensation fill her eyes she quickly closed them.
When she was little Arianna always use to tell her brothers off for looking up at the sun directly. She would force sunglasses on them or even continuously push their heads down. It seemed that bright lights almost intrigued them. “Look Arianna, there’s six lights.. I counted” a voice squealed in her head. She smiled to herself and spoke aloud “Soon you’ll be counting to a million Eddie, we’ll never be able to stop you!” She loved hearing her brother’s voice. It almost soothed her. She was calming down, very, very, slowly. If anything it was the thought that her dead brother was there with her now.
Slowly felt herself starting to feel restless. Her body going limp as her head fell to the side a little before letting her whole body curl up into a ball in the middle of the room. She couldn’t do anything she loved, she couldn’t read her books, she couldn’t draw, and she couldn’t even admire the view from her bedroom window. Biting her lip hard she tried to keep herself awake. The last thing she wanted was to fall asleep. That’s when the nightmares started, that’s when everything was out of her hands. She quickly sat up and started pacing the room, counting the squares of padding on the walls and floor. Anything to keep her amused.

Kiba Gabriel Cunningham A brand new day was good one, the reason it was his first as a member of staff in a asylum. Spending his own years in asylum for stupid phobias which have ruined half his life and marriage. Kiba misses his wife Cheza and hoped they could have gotten by together, but last year he signed the horrible divorce papers. Still the wedding band on his left index finger would remained there, until he was able to find the courage to take it off. At the age of thirty-one he was getting on a bit for being single, maybe he would find someone to love he just didn't know yet. Still his heart wasn't ready for another love and he needed time to heal his broken, shattered one first.
Pulling out just out the entrance he sniffed the air. Everyone was really friendly, and his body wasn't shaking anymore, as he gotten off his bike. It was lovely to be outside, he couldn't believe that he was terrified to come outside before. I guess it was stupid, he chuckled under his breath. Slowly he walked along the hallway and he was handed a file. A young woman was locked in the padded room, Kiba wondered what she have done wrong for her to be locked in this room. Something wasn't right deep, down and he kept on walking. The room was nearer by now, and he opened the door.
Hello miss I am Nurse. Cunningham. You may call me Kiba. I have been reported to come and check on, for your medication and what you would like to have for dinner, he spoke slowly and hoped she understood.
Reaching for his pocket, he took out her medication and small bottle of water. Kiba studied her a little and made sure she was ok and wasn't injured, even though it was impossible in this room. But nothing is ever impossible anymore. Reaching out the stuff to her, his facial expressions were still soft and kind, showing he wasn't being threatening like.
So why are you locked in this room for miss? You don't look like mean person he asked really curiously.
Standing a good reasonable distance from her, he waited for her reply back. Hoping she wouldn't be mean, as he didn't like sedating people, even though sometimes he have no choice and do it. Kiba trusted his instincts and stood his ground, before making that horrible harsh conditions.

I Don't Know If I'm Getting Better
Or Just Used To The Pain. 50, 51, 52, 53… Arianna continued her counting, focusing entirely on the wall left to her. It wasn’t exactly the most fun she had ever had, but it was keeping her awake. And that was the main thing for her at that point in time. Despite the fact the room wasn’t exactly ‘big’ the squares were quite small. She could imagine counting all the way to a five hundred if she really needed to, and if she still felt sleepy she would count again until she wasn’t. Maybe make a game of it.
Just as she finished the left wall she could hear the door being unlocked, quickly she sat down in the middle of the room and crossed her legs. If they were going to make her stay in here the least she could do was get comfortable, and she was going to show whoever came in that she was just that. She didn’t exactly fancy the evil glares from her security guard for the bruised jaw. Arianna knew for a fact that he was going to be a lot harsher on her now.
Arianna’s eyes averted to the door as a young man walked in that she had never seen before. Obviously new then. Like her. Hello miss I am Nurse. Cunningham. You may call me Kiba. Arianna raised her eyebrow as she stared at him. She was allowed to call him by his first name? So Nurse Kiba it was. She smiled to herself and looked down to hide it. She didn’t like people to see her smile. That for her mother only. No-one else.
The nurse didn’t exactly look old. And it did have to be said he had beautiful blue eyes. None like she had seen before. Definitely better than her own boring brown eyes. His skin was only a little darker than hers. Usually around here most of the staff were a lot more tanned. She looked him up and down a few times, taking in notes of his features before noticing the wedding band on his index finger. Ah, so either he married young or was older than she first expected.
I have been reported to come and check on, for your medication and what you would like to have for dinner. He spoke slowly to her. Like she was an infant, or someone who couldn’t speak English. She was highly capable of that. Rolling her eyes she lent back putting her arms behind her for support as to stay sitting upright and stared at Kiba. “As for the medication I want to know what I’ll be taking first. And as for dinner, I’d rather not know what they’re having. The food in this place makes my gut swirl.” She remarked, a small smirk appearing on her pale lips.
As he reached over the medication she quickly took the bottle of water and pills before dropping the medication to the side of her and quickly taking a glug from the bottle. Her throat was severely sore after her little episode of screaming. At least this helped sooth it. It made it feel somewhat less strained.
So why are you locked in this room for miss? You don't look like mean person. She sighed and looked away. This was true. She wasn’t mean, she just happened to have this thing deep down inside of her, it wasn’t always there, but when it was, it was something that she couldn’t control. Nodding she tried to keep her cool. No way was she going to cry in front of the nurse, that was done in the comfort of her room when the door was locked of a night. “Let’s just say the security guard had it coming for getting in the way of a stupid excuse for a fight.” She announced before sitting up and lifting her knees up so she could place her chin on them, wrapping her arms around for a little more self-comforting.

Kiba Gabriel Cunningham MY FATHER ALWAYS TAUGHT METHAT LOVE WOULD ALWAYS SET YOU FREEEVEN WHEN SOMEONE YOU TRUST HURTS YOU------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Listening to the patient in what she was saying. If she wasn't really dangerous then, Kiba could see what he can do to get her out of the room. No one should be locked in the padded room, as it was scary and really horrible place to be in, in fact some patients go even more crazy in the isolation than anything else. Stroking his face, and keeping his face smiling and friendly expression. She wanted to know about her medication, now that has got him really stumped, he just didn't know.
I wished I could tell you that, but I honestly don't know. The doctors just gave these for you to take. All I know they would make you calmer, so please trust me miss and take them
He extended his arm again, for her to take them again. The food was right what she said. It does taste like crap, this is why the nurse brings his own meals with him. If she wanted some of his lunch, she is totally welcomed. Kiba hated eating alone anyway.
Well miss you are welcome to have lunch with me. I have nothing food with me to feed an army, I know the food here is totally disgusting. But though I could make you something from the kitchen, whatever you want, I really don't mind. All you have to do is name it
He meant it to, Kiba didn't like it when people were upset about something. He wanted them happy, Kiba still didn't believe she could have hurt anyone, but the Kiba wasn't good with people's body language, in fact he always had them wrong, even when he was a child.
Well I don't think you could really hurt someone. Just take your medication and it would stop you do things like that again, and if the guard done something, then I would report him, just please take the medication
He was serious with this and Kiba never lied to anyone, no matter who they were. So he now just waited for her answer and hope it was the right one
