It's never covered in the rules anywhere, are we required to make one account for each character? Or can we have one account and play all of our characters from that single account?
A second, less important question. The rules state that names are not to be duplicated. This isn't terribly clear so I'd like some clarification... it's the full name that cannot be duplicated, right? I assume I'm not going to be bitched out for creating a character named Jack just because someone else has a Jack...? I don't think this will be a problem for me but I thought I'd ask anyway just to be sure.

Hi there!
To answer your first question, we require all different and subset characters to have a different account, because it's easier to follow that way.
To answer your second question, the duplication is that you can't have the same first or last name of another character. Per se, you can't have an "Eliot" because there's already an Eliot in game. likewise, you can't have an "Anderson" for a last name, because that name is already used, unless they're from the same family. I hope that clarifies some things for you. :]

I see. Yes that does clarify things quite a bit. But now I'm going to nit pick a little, but completely out of curiosity. x3 I'm not planning on doing this for my first character but I'm just wondering as I plan on having more than one.
Are alternate spellings of the same name allowed? Or nicknames or anything like that? Alterations?
For example, you say there is a character already named Elliot. Well, could I create a character named Elliot but everybody calls her Ellie? Or something of that nature. Or if there is a character named Hannah, could I create a character named Hanna, with the alternate spelling?
Also, in a related question, is there a thread that lists all of the names already used on this forum? I did have a look around here last night so I may have just missed it or forgotten about it overnight. But I just want to make sure. Names are such an easy thing to duplicate, especially first names. In kindergarten, I was one of 5 Jessica's. x3

No worries, this is why I'm here.
We don't allow names of any type of duplicate to first or last names, that's included as alternate spellings. So because my character is named Eliot, you can't have a character named Elliot, because there's already an Eliot. I'm fairly sure that nicknames are excluded because they're nicknames, but it's by a case by case situation. But I don't see why nicknames would be included in the alteration.
The list of current in game characters is HERE. It's updated whenever we have a new member be accepted, and it's all up to date.

Ah, I see. Well hopefully we don't run out of names then. x3 Thanks for the help. I think that's all of the questions I have for now.

We won't run out of names, I can guarantee that! :]
And no worries. If you have anymore, please feel free to ask, or even poke your head into the chat box! :]

Up, I thought of one last one that is not terribly critical either: are we required to use a face claim? I prefer to draw and design my own characters rather than using the faces of strangers, but I know that some sites are picky about this. I mean, I don't mind not actually using my own images if photos are preferred. But can I at least get away with a text description with no picture?

Sadly, a face claim of a celebrity is required, and a photo is at least needed at the top of the application, but the rest of the application can simply be text, especially in the description parts.
